Visit to Old Age Home

The Institute of Language Teaching (ILT) demonstrated a compassionate and community-focused approach through a meaningful outreach activity in collaboration with Samarpan Charitable Trust. Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), ILT trainees engaged in a visit to an old age home, showcasing a commitment to social responsibility and community care.

The visit to the old age home stands as a poignant example of ILT trainees extending beyond their academic roles to contribute positively to society. This outreach initiative aimed to address the emotional well-being of elderly residents, often neglected or isolated from mainstream society.

During the visit, ILT trainees actively participated in various activities, such as companionship sessions, interactive games, and cultural performances. This not only brought joy and companionship to the elderly residents but also provided ILT trainees with an invaluable opportunity to understand the needs of the elderly and contribute meaningfully to their lives.

This community activity fostered a sense of empathy and understanding among ILT trainees, emphasizing the importance of compassion and connection in community service. By engaging with the residents of the old age home, the trainees not only created a positive impact on the lives of others but also enriched their own personal and professional development.

The visit exemplifies how educational institutions, through community partnerships and outreach activities, can instill values of social responsibility in their students. The collaborative effort between ILT and Samarpan Charitable Trust serves as a model for holistic education that goes beyond the classroom, nurturing compassionate and socially conscious individuals. The ripple effect of such initiatives can contribute to building a more caring and interconnected community.
